This Leeds-based quartet is led by Will Powell, virtuoso house guitarist at JazzLeeds at Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton, and former student of such legends as Mike Walker and Liane Carroll. Will is joined by James Boyes, lead saxophonist of the Tom Sharp Jazz Orchestra, and the much in demand rhythm section of José Canha (bass) and Harry Stobart (drums). The quartet has been working on a varying set that consists of a mix of well known and more obscure standards along with occasional hard bop and contemporary jazz tunes.
